As a student at UND Aerospace, you will learn to balance your academic and social life with a fun, yet challenging flight schedule. With an aircraft fleet as large as some airlines, students have the flexibility to design a schedule that fits their lifestyle. A student’s schedule could consist of classes throughout the morning, followed by a flight in the afternoon, and ending with a hockey game in the evening.
UND Aerospace’s flight instructors are given the rare opportunity to instruct a vast range of students from private pilots applicants, to multi-engine commercial pilots training in preparation for a career in aviation. Instructors come from a diverse background including UND Aerospace graduates, military pilots, airline pilots, and international school graduates.
Cargo companies around the world hire UND Aerospace alumni as pilots to get freight to their customers safely and expeditiously in all-weather conditions. Cargo pilots operate a wide range of airplanes, often modified for freight transportation, ranging from small multi-engine airplanes to the largest international jets.
