Ryan Hall
The third of four buildings built in the John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences west campus complex, Ryan Hall is home to the AeroSpace Network (ASN), the Air Traffic Control program, and the UND Aerospace Foundation. In addition to classrooms and flight briefing rooms, Ryan Hall contains the following specialized areas:
Two Flight Training Device rooms house the Department of Aviation's general aviation single-engine, multi-engine, and helicopter flight training devices.
A large ATC sim room houses the Air Traffic Control program's ATC simulators running the ATC-2000 Virtual Controller, a full Air Traffic Control Training System developed by our own Scientific Computing Center.
An interactive classroom and satellite uplink system allows ASN to broadcast live, interactive courses around the country. ASN also utilizes a full video production facility complete with advanced video edit capabilities and an on-site television studio.
A Computer Based Instruction (CBI) Lab provides interactive multimedia courseware on a variety of aviation topics and aircraft. The adjacent FAA Test Center is an authorized ProMetric computerized testing center.
The south wing of the building is home to the UND Aerospace Foundation faculty members, administrators, and support staff.
