UND Aerospace operates one of the largest, most advanced fleets of training aircraft in the world. With over 120 aircraft system wide, UND trains more than 1000 pilots each year.
UND's fleet consists largely of Piper aircraft. At Grand Forks International Airport, UND operates 46 Piper Warriors; 13 Piper Arrows; and 11 Piper Seminoles. UND operates the same types of aircraft at its satellite campuses in Phoenix, AZ; Spokane, WA; and Crookston, MN.
UND also operates several other specialized aircraft including two ACA Super Decathlons, a Piper Supercub, Beechcraft Baron, Cessna 182 Amphibian, and Piper Cheyenne.
