10 heated UND hangars house over 120 aircraft at the Grand Forks International Airport which keep airplanes and helicopters stored overnight and during periods of inclimate weather.
Flight operations administration is the main headquarters for dispatching aircraft, prebriefing students for their next flight, and an on-site cafeteria on the top level of the five-story building.
UND line support staff is responsible for setting each aircraft on the ramp in the morning, as well as housing each airplane into a hangar every night. Line support refuels every airplane and helicopter after each flight as well as provides pre-heats and jump starts when necessary.
University of North Dakota's Unmanned Aerial Systems training facility is the home for ground briefings, flight simulators, and systems training for students obtaining a major focusing on unmanned aircraft.
UND houses one of the largest maintenance facilities in the country which inspects each of the over 120 aircraft that UND utilizes on a daily basis.
