UND Aerospace, at the University of North Dakota, has a fleet of over 120 aircraft consisting of airplanes, helicopters, and unmanned aerial systems.
UND Aerospace offers helicopter training for Private Pilot, Commercial Pilot, Instrument Rating, and Flight Instructor courses.
Students in the nation’s first four-year degree program in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) are utilizing the Boeing/Insitu ScanEagle to learn about the next evolution in the aerospace industry.
In 2010 at UND Aerospace, over 340 students experienced their first solo and earned their Private Pilot Certificate.
UND Aerospace offers six different majors in two degree programs.
To enhance their pilot skills, students may take optional courses in tailwheel, aerobatic, float plane, and turbine aircraft operations.
